The TRUMP-EFFECT is striking fear into the hearts of the ruling establishment in Europe, resulting in hysterical warnings from Austrian, Italian, French, and German politicians about “right-wing populists.”
Breitbart Two days before the election, at a rally in Minnesota, Trump also stated that “a Trump administration will not admit any refugees without the support of the local community where they are being placed,” a policy that will simply enforce the “consultation clause” of the Refugee Act of 1980, an element of the statute the Obama administration has largely ignored.
Refugee resettlement is profitable to the organizations involved in it. They receive money from the federal government for each refugee they bring over. They have almost no real responsibilities for these refugees. After 4 months the “sponsoring” organization is not even required to know where the refugee lives.
Even refugee resettlement industry executives acknowledge that President-elect Trump will have the legal authority to implement these policy changes on his own.
“Mr. Trump has made clear his intent to end the resettlement of Syrian refugees, and it will be within the president’s authority to set refugee allocations by country and overall,” Doris Meissner of the left-leaning Migration Policy Institute told the Thompson Reuters Foundation on Wednesday.
“If [Trump] decide[s] to cut the state funds or federal funds for refugees, refugee resettlement will collapse and we won’t be able to bring in any refugees to this country,” Vidhya Manivannan, formerly with Church World Services, one of the nine voluntary agencies (VOLAGs) who receive more than $1 billion a yearin federal funding, told Newsweek on Wednesday, one day after Trump’s election.
“In the U.S., there’s not a quota that has to be filled. The U.S. has a budgeted amount of money to do refugee resettlement, but there’s no requirement that the U.S. resettle a single refugee, and there’s no legal obligation to do it,” Bill Frelick, director of Human Rights Watch’s refugee program, told Newsweek.
It would be “fairly easy” for President Trump to suspend the resettlement of Syrian refugees in the United States, Frelick toldNewsweek, “because this is discretionary.” Frelick said Trump’s victory left him “shell-shocked,” a word that described the reaction of the entire refugee resettlement industry.
In FY 2016, 85,000 refugees were resettled in the United States. The Obama administration has proposed resettling 110,000 refugees in FY 2017, which began on October 1, but Congress has not approved the budget for the full fiscal year. The current interim budget deal, which in theory only authorizes the resettlement of 85,000 refugees annually, expires on December 9.
Early indications from reports on the Department of State’s interactive website suggest that the federal bureaucracy may already be responding to the election of Donald Trump by reducing the number of newly arriving refugees.
Opponents of the Obama administration’s policy to increase refugee resettlement also agree that President-elect Trump will have the authority to dramatically decrease the flow of refugees after his inauguration.
“Donald Trump promised to limit the flow of Muslim refugees. Current law leaves refugee admissions up to presidential discretion, and he could accomplish this on Day One. Compared to a religious test, barring refugees from countries with large Muslim populations would be easy to enforce and, assuming no reallocation, could reduce refugee flows by 40 percent,” David Bier of the Cato Institute told the Thompson Reuters Foundation.
“Regarding legal immigration, refugee resettlement from the Middle East is likely to be suspended, pending a bottom-up review of the system,” Mark Krikorian, executive director, Center for Immigration Studies told the Thompson Reuters Foundation.
On Election Day, Lavinia Limon, Executive Director of the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), one of the nine leading volunteer agencies who receive more than $1 billion a year in federal funding, said “I’ve been working with refugees for 43 years through Republican and Democratic administrations, and I’ve never ever seen refugees and immigrants as under attack as they are in this campaign by Mr. Trump. I think it’s very divisive and it’s very frightening for refugees and immigrants,” Limon said.
After the voters resoundingly rejected Hillary Clinton and her support for increasing refugee resettlement in the United States on Tuesday, Limon took another tack. “We encourage our new President to continue the tradition of the best of American values including equal protection and respect for every member of society.
Mark Hetfield, CEO of HIAS ( Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society), another of the nine leading VOLAGS, urgedPresident-elect Trump to keep the flow of refugees coming into the country, despite his campaign promises to the contrary.
AUSTRIA: Polls show that the Freedom Party’s (FPÖ) Norbert Hofer is on track to win the presidential rerun on December 4, the Green-communist candidate Alexander Van der Bellen said that the Trump election victory was a “wake-up call, not just for December 4 but beyond.”
Speaking at a news conference, left-wing extremist Van der Bellen said that he didn’t want “Austria to become the first western European nation where right-wing demagogues take power.”
Van der Bellen said that if his opponent won, an FPÖ government would definitely follow.
The slogan causing all the fuss appears in bold letters across huge billboards next to the smiling face of Freedom Party leader Heinz Christian Strache. “Mehr Mut für Wiener Blut” – more courage for Viennese Blood. The next line says – “Too many foreigners does no one any good
ITALY: An important referendum on constitutional reform will take place on December 4, polls show that the far left government of Matteo Renzi faces defeat. Government spokesmen have warned that defeat for Renzi in the referendum could provoke a populist revolt like that of Trump.
Trump and Salvini are in total agreement about illegal immigration and stopping the Muslim invasion
Opposition to the government’s plan is being led by the Northern League’s Matteo Salvini and a number of other smaller populist parties, in what the Italian media has called a “Trumpisti” alliance. At a Northern League rally in Florence held over the past weekend, Salvini supporters held up picture posters of Salvini with Donald Trump taken when the two met earlier this year in America.
At the rally, Salvini said: “The lesson provided by Trump and the free vote of the American people is that you can win despite everything—the banks, the lobbyists, journalists, even pop stars.”
Salvini also announced his intention to run for Prime Minister. “There is no lack of ideas and teams, and today we start a long march. If Brexit teaches us something, if the election of Donald Trump teaches us something, (it is that) today we get going to take power.”
FRANCE: Trump’s former campaign manager and executive chairman of Breitbart News LLC, Stephen Bannon, generated shock waves by announcing that he believed“France is the place to be, with its young entrepreneurs, and the women of the Le Pen family,” adding that “Marion Maréchal-Le Pen is the new rising star.”
Marion le Pen responded on Twitter, saying that “I answer yes to the invitation of Stephen Bannon, CEO of the Trump presidential campaign, to work together.”
The announcement has horrified France’s far left, who fear a repeat of Breitbart News’s support for Donald Trump in France, only this time in support of the Front National’s Marine le Pen’s candidacy in the French presidential elections set for 2017.
NO to Islamic fascism
Former prime minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin, who is a member of Nicolas Sarkozy’s Les Républicains said, “If Mr. Trump can win, so can Mrs. Le Pen. France will swing to the far-right if populist extremists continue to attract support.”
Gérard Araud, France’s ambassador to the U.S., said on Twitter that the world was crumbling into pieces: “First Brexit, and now Trump. Today marks the end of an era—the death of neoliberalism. Anything is possible.”
First BREXIT, next FREXIT
GERMANY: There will be elections in 2017. Angela Merkel’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) finance minister Wolfgang Schäuble warned that the “Trump effect could spread across Europe,” and that “everybody should be wary of an increase in populist forces across Europe.”
The AFD (Alternative for Germany) is rapidly making gains in local elections for it’s stance against Islamization and the Muslim invasion of Germany.
“Demagogic populism is not just a problem in America. The political debates are also in a state of concern elsewhere in the West.”
CDU vice president Hans-Peter Friedrich added that he too feared that a “Trump effect could sweep across Germany.”
Across Europe, voters are turning to far-right parties, won over by nationalism, anti-immigrant hysteria and failed economic policies of austerity. In Germany, France, Poland, Hungary and Sweden, far right parties have made gains. Left political parties in these countries have not been as successful as those in Spain, Portugal, Ireland and Greece.
Donald Trump will make a fantastic President for as long as he keeps to his word and does everything he said he would do. But he has already retracted on one promise already. He told Hillary Clinton that if he was to become President of America, he would have her investigated over the emails and also the Clinton foundation, making sure that Hillary Clinton went to Prison for the rest of her life. The Moment Trump became President and made his speech, he totally went back on his promise and told everyone how good Hillary Clinton is and when asked later about it, he said he had changed his mind and wanted to set his mind on making America great again. That worried me a great deal and i have written to him, asking him why he has gone back on his word.
Donald Trump also said he was going to get rid of Obama care, he has changed his mind on that too and said he will keep some of it. Millions of Americans went out to vote for Trump because of what he said he would do, people who had not voted for years went out to make sure Trump won the election, but already he has gone back on two things he said he would do, i hope he keeps his word on everything else.
I have been a Trump supporter from day one, i like him very much and i don't care less about what he said on tape, what you say and what you do are two very different things. Guys all over the planet have talked like that at one time or another, it's just water off a ducks back. Women are not stupid, they know full well how men talk and it is just banter nothing more. In fact women are a hundred times worse than men. How many time have we heard of women going to see a male stripper and how many time have we heard of the women going wild and touching him all over, men do NOT do that with women, they re not allowed to touch, but it's different for women, why is that. So women have no room to talk, period.
I hope and pray that Trump builds the wall, i hope and pray that he deports millions of Muslims back to were they came from and i hope he stops all refugees from coming in to America, just look at Europe and Great Britain, the refugees were all men, only one or two children came over and now England is being taken over by Muslims. Trump is now 70 years old, time now is not on his side and he needs to act fast to put in to place everything he needs to do, like bringing jobs back to America. The people must realize that the next president could undo all that Trump has done, so i am hoping and praying that Donald Trumps Son will stand, the Democrats must never be allowed to win again.
