Another passenger recorded the incident, which took place in Southall on the 105 service to Heathrow airport.
The driver is alleged to have taken issue with the man, who was using his phone to listen to the Koran on loudspeaker.
The driver explained that the man’s “loud music” was distracting him from the road.
As a row erupted between the pair, the driver told the passenger to get off the bus and refused to continue driving until he left.

The angry passenger accused the driver of being “racist” towards him because he was listening to the Koran.
The bus remained stationary while the row went on, leaving other passengers feeling very frustrated.
According to MailOnline, the woman who recorded the clash said: “The bus driver asked the passenger to turn it off and he turned it off without questioning him.
“The passenger said ‘why do I need to get off the bus when I’ve paid for my fare, you asked me to turn off the Koran and I did as you said’.
“Then the bus driver repeated himself and said ‘get off the bus or I’m going to call the police’, and the passenger said ‘call the police I have my rights you’re being racist because all I did was play the Koran’.”
Police claimed no report of the incident has been filed.
A spokesman for Transport for London said: “We are looking into this incident alongside the operator Metroline.
